The man who drowned in the Missouri River near Hardy Creek Saturday afternoon has been identified as 68 year old Jerry Pohlman of Helena. Pohlman was a professor of Economics and chair of the Business, Accounting, and Economics Department at Carroll College.

BRIDGEPORT — Searchers have been unable to find a Tonasket man who fell off an inflatable motorboat into the rough waters of the Columbia River near Bridgeport on Saturday afternoon. Gary A. Rillera, 63, is missing and feared drowned, said Douglas County Sheriff Harvey Gjesdal.
